Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of Comvera Tech Support services, including in-home technology support, remote support, advisory assistance, project-based services, and Comvera Care subscription plans.

By booking a service, subscribing to a plan, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services Provided

Comvera Tech Support provides best-effort technical support and guidance for residential customers and, in some cases, small businesses. Services may include:

  • Computer and device setup
  • Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting
  • Printer and peripheral setup
  • General software support and technology guidance
  • Remote support where appropriate
  • Subscription-based support through Comvera Care

Project-based work, advanced consulting, or services outside the scope of a selected plan may be quoted separately.

3. No Guarantee of Outcome

Technology issues vary by device, software, network conditions, third-party services, and pre-existing system conditions. Comvera Tech Support does not guarantee that every issue can be fully resolved or that every device or service can be restored to a desired state.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about the issue or service request
  • Provide access to the device, network, location, or accounts needed to perform the requested work
  • Maintain backups of important files and data before service begins
  • Obtain permission to access devices, software, or accounts if they are not solely yours

5. Data Loss and Device Risk

You acknowledge that device troubleshooting, software changes, updates, configuration changes, and hardware interaction may involve risk. Comvera Tech Support is not responsible for:

  • Data loss
  • Corrupted files
  • Pre-existing hardware failure
  • Hidden defects or malware already present on a device
  • Service interruptions caused by third-party providers or manufacturers

Customers are strongly encouraged to maintain current backups before any work begins.

6. Pricing and Payment

Pricing for one-time visits, subscription plans, and project-based services is communicated through the website, Stripe checkout, Thumbtack, direct communication, or written estimate.

Payment is due as described at the time of booking, subscription, or invoice issuance. Subscription plans renew automatically based on the plan selected unless canceled.

7. Comvera Care Subscriptions

Comvera Care is a recurring subscription service with monthly or annual billing options. Plan features, rates, included checkups, and support benefits depend on the selected tier.

Subscription benefits apply only while the subscription is active and in good standing. Unused support benefits do not accumulate unless specifically stated otherwise.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Subscription cancellations may be made at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for charges already processed.

Refund requests for one-time services or subscriptions are handled case by case and at Comvera’s discretion. Completed service time, delivered support, and work already performed are generally non-refundable.

9. Scheduling and Availability

Appointment times, response times, and scheduling windows are estimates and may vary based on demand, travel, service complexity, and availability. Priority treatment for subscription customers is governed by the selected plan and does not guarantee immediate same-day service in every situation.

10. Remote Support and Communications

Some services may be delivered by phone, email, video, or remote support tools when appropriate. You acknowledge that remote support may have limitations and may not be suitable for every issue.

11. Acceptable Use

You may not use Comvera Tech Support services for illegal activity, unauthorized access, harmful conduct, or any purpose that would require Comvera to violate applicable law or third-party terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Comvera Tech Support and Comvera LLC are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of services, including loss of data, loss of business, loss of access, or device failure.

Any liability, if established, will be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
